Our Youth Services are available to youth with disabilities ages 14-24, parents and families, and those in the community working with youth. We provide young people with the skills, encouragement, and support they need to be successful in society and accomplish their academic and employment goals. We empower youth and their families to make informed decisions through an array of services customized to our students and their needs. Youth Services supports youth adults through all-important transitional moments from school to adulthood.
Pre-Employment Transition Services are available to ACCES-VR participants ages 14-21. This includes a variety of activities dedicated to preparing students for employment, evaluating post-secondary education options, developing employment related soft skills, exploring career options after high school, and learning how to be your own self-advocate. Upon fostering these skills, students may be placed into work-based settings to gain hands-on experience in the workplace. Some experiences may include workplace tours, job shadowing, career mentorship, informational interviews, paid or non-paid internships, volunteering, networking, and more.
For more information about our services through ACCES-VR, please visit our Employment Program web page.
